One Battle After Another (2025)

This movie was like my semester exams - way too long and full of lectures I didn't ask for. Leo was hilarious as the stoned dad trying to save his kid, and the action scenes were lit. But man, they really went full-on political drama mode in the second half. Felt like watching a 3-hour Netflix documentary with extra explosions. Solid performances for sure, but I kept checking my phone time. Good for one watch if you're into that deep stuff.

This movie was intense from start to finish. Leo was on fire as Bob, and the action scenes were next level. The humor landed well too, especially the stoner dad bits. It's a long movie, but I didn't feel bored. The ending was solid. Overall, a really good watch.

This movie was a beast. The action scenes were pure power, especially when Leo gets back in the game. His physique was on point for a stoner dad turned fighter. The stunts were solid, and Teyana Taylor brought some real muscle to her role too. I loved the energy and the fight sequences. The political stuff was a bit heavy at times, but the action kept me pumped. Overall, a powerful watch with great performances.

The high-stakes plot was engaging at first. Leo and the cast delivered solid performances, and the production value showed. But the political messaging felt too heavy-handed for my taste. It started to drag in the second half with all the resistance metaphors. Entertaining spectacle, but not quite my style overall.
