Zootopia 2 (2025)

It's a solid movie, but not as fun as I hoped.

This movie was really heartwarming and fun. The new character Gary was so sweet and added a lot of emotion to the story. The messages about prejudice and accepting others were beautiful and made me get a little teary-eyed at times.

It was actually pretty fun. The new snake character Gary is solid, and the whole mystery thing kept me hooked. Judy and Nick's vibe is still there, and the new locations are cool to look at. Some parts were a bit predictable, and the chaos got a bit much at times, but overall it's a good time. The music and humor hit right. Worth a watch if you want something light and entertaining.

Zootopia 2 is a solid entertainer. Judy and Nick are back with their usual fun chemistry. The new snake character Gary adds some good laughs. The whole undercover investigation part was engaging enough. It's got that typical Disney heart with messages about prejudice and all, but they keep it light. Some parts get a bit chaotic with prison breaks and venom stuff, but overall it's a good timepass movie. Perfect for when you just want to chill and watch something fun.

Zootopia 2 was actually pretty solid for a Disney sequel. I went in expecting some basic cash grab, but Gary the snake and Nibbles the podcaster were fresh additions that kept things interesting. The whole conspiracy plot with the lynx family and the city expansion stuff had some real stakes. Judy and Nick's partnership got tested in new ways which was cool to see. The humor landed most of the time, especially with Nick's sarcasm. My main issue is that it falls into some predictable sequel tropes. The whole disobedience leading to chaos thing got repetitive after a while. Releasing 200 criminals because you didn't follow orders? Come on. Also some of the betrayals were obvious from miles away. The social messages about prejudice and diversity were handled well though, especially with Gary proving reptiles aren't all bad. Overall it's a fun watch with heart, just wish it took more risks.
